THE FREESTYLE WAVE I (FSW) is a freewave board with a classic feel and a smooth ride. “Overall, it is longer and wider with a low rocker line, so the FSW is ideal for onshore wave and bump & jump conditions for the rider who prefers a more “classic” feel. Early planing, good upwind ability, and smooth carving ability due to a flat bottom and a low, continuous rocker line.” - Jonah Lepak, Designer.

What you thought of when you designed it?
I took a wave-oriented outline and rocker and made it flatter, longer, wider, and thinner to get smooth carving, stability, and low-end range.
What is possibly compromises on then?
A little less wave-oriented than Wave C, and a little less flatwater than the Ride.

Outline
Balanced outline with a smooth accelerating curve.
Rails
Soft tucked rails in the nose area with a release edge starting forward of the front strap and remaining tucked to the back strap.
Rocker
Low continuous tail rocker and a lower smooth entry.
Bottom
Flat.
Deck
Mild dome deck with an even thickness flow to keep a balanced stance in sub-planing conditions.
Fins
Thruster setup with larger center and sidebites.
Final Statement
A classic feel in an allround freewave board.
