THE POINT BREAK evolved from the original Search. It was designed to work even better in the surf than its predecessor! Originally designed as a custom board for one of our valued customers it incorporates more width and outline curve, making the board even more stable yet more surfable from the middle..
This board can handle everything from small ankle biters to thick outer reefs, it will even paddle you there in style.
(((All prices shown are for TR3 tec. All boards are also available in XXX tec, please contact your local dealer for pricing)))
A board that you can cruise flat water or surf big outer reefs and everything in between, a board that can really do it all.
More open down the line waves. From ankle high up to triple overhead.
Big Carves, Making Sections.
Novice to Pro.
SPEED: Super quick due to the length.
DIRECTIONAL CONTROL: Amazing.
OVER WHITE WATER: Average.
WAVE CATCHING ABILITY: Fantastic, you can stroke into anything.
Originally this was designed as a custom board for one of our valued customers. He wanted a board with the same paddle ability as the search but with improved surf ability. We added some width, pulled in the tail, amended the rocker and added 4 extra fins. Changing the humble search into an outer reef chasing machine.
The board is very large, so don’t expect to be surfing top to bottom in the pocket.
Clean arc with a pulled in nose and tail. The board has a clean arc all the way through enabling it to be very surfable from the middle, you’ll be surprised how quickly this thing can redirect for a big board. The pulled in nose and tail aid maneuverability and make the board feel surprisingly nimble.
Standard profile. The rails carry quite a lot of volume right to the edge. This adds an amount of comfort and stability for longer paddles. The rails are still low enough to penetrate the face when you’re out in heavier conditions.
Performance rocker. Offering plenty of nose lift for those late drops, with a clean curve out the rear the board is super responsive for its size. Even with this amount of rocker the board still paddles amazingly well.
Flat. Nothing fancy.
Relatively Flat. Due to the fuller rails, the deck is quite comfortable to stand on.
4+1. Offering great versatility with so many fin setup options. Single for flatwater paddling and great tracking, 2+1 for when you want a little more control and a quad for when it’s absolutely firing and you’re holding on for your life.
This board really is the ultimate one board quiver if you live in a place with clean open swells. It’s amazing how much you can enjoy on such a big board, smaller ain't always better and this board is proof.
