THE SEARCH is a special design, combining several different areas in one. The board has a pretty classic surf shape with a nice round outline, a healthy amount of rocker and nice thin rails nose to tail.
Due to its length, it also works really well in flat water as a touring board, or as a pure fun board due to its excellent stability. Whether you want to take your kids to play or ride 6ft swell. Do 20km downwind or just simply flatwater paddle in a lake, this board has got you covered.
Search for the fun. It's built-in.

About the board
General goal | theme of the board
The ultimate pleasure ride for cruising flat water, ocean paddling and surf in the right conditions.
Wave type | size it's working best
Smaller softer longboard waves, but I have seen it used in some solid waves successfully. From just over ankle high to wherever you think it could handle.
Maneuvers it does best
Super easy gliding take offs on nothing through to a solid bottom turn in waves of consequence.
Skill level it's best for
Novice to Pro.
Paddle power
SPEED: Better than excellent glide.
DIRECTIONAL CONTROL: Really good, due to length and parallel outline.
OVER WHITE WATER: Super stable.
WAVE CATCHING ABILITY: Unbelievable.
What you thought of when you designed it?
Originally I was thinking of this board as a touring board for both flat water and some ocean going, having a healthy 200 plus liters, allowing a rider and possibly some luggage. I used a typical big wave style outline thinking this would help in the ocean, but the bonus was the board actually surfs as well.
What it possibly compromises on then?
Well, it is a massive board, so you won’t be doing any top to bottom surfing.

Design info
Outline
Sleek, gunny style outline with a tight chisel tail. The clean drawn outline allows the board to hold a good line and speed while paddling and catching waves, the tight tail area allows a reasonably tight and responsive bottom turn.
Rails
Kind of chunky and full. More so designed for general paddling and buoyancy, not having performance surfing in mind so we're not trying to sell it as the ultimate performance board, it's really the tighter tail outline that allows a turn.
Rocker
Decent amount of nose rocker with a fairly flat tail. The Nose rocker gets it up and over bumps while ocean paddling, the overall surfboard design tends to let lumps just wash over the deck and is more resistant to side winds as opposed to the high above the waterline race board style designs that act as a sail. The flatter tail rocker gives the glide back and allows it to pick up the tiniest of micro swells.
Bottom
Flat. Nothing fancy.
Deck
Relatively Flat. Due to the fuller rails, the deck is quite comfortable to stand on.
Fins
Single. Good balance and paddle stability with the large single, no real need to consider more fins for performance, because it’s a giant board anyway.
Final Statement
A good all round board if you want a multi purpose design to cover, touring, flat water, ocean paddling with the added ability to catch a few waves along the way.
