THE PILOT MID will make your foiling days more enjoyable.

This is a new introduction to the range to keep up with an ever-evolving sport. Performance is not always about having the smallest board possible, you can achieve this by having a harmonious balance of design features.

With its additional length and narrower width the Pilot Mid paddles into waves like a dream, but with a notably forward foil position and very narrow tail, you can push it really hard without feeling the extra size.

THE SUP FOIL HAS FINALLY ARRIVED

This board has been revised many times before we felt ready to release it..

Bert has been working closely with James "Jimmy" Casey behind the scenes for the last year or so to nail down the design and get it 100% ready to fly before hitting the market.. The are some serious design aspects in this board to make it take off and stay there..

About the board

GENERAL GOAL | THEME OF THE BOARD:

An easy-to-use, performance mid-length foilboard for Prone, Wing, and Downwind.

CONDITIONS IT'S WORKING BEST:

Any conditions. Whatever you usually Prone, Wing, or Downwind.

SKILL LEVEL IT'S BEST FOR:

Novice to pro. Just choose the size according to the level.

WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF WHEN YOU DESIGNED IT?:

I wanted a board that was super easy to catch waves on but didn’t feel oversized and cumbersome when on foil. Something that you could Prone, Wing, or Downwind. One board that covers a range of conditions and disciplines, so you’re ready no matter what Mother Nature throws at you.

WHAT IT POSSIBLY COMPROMISES ON THEN?:

I wanted a board that was super easy to catch waves on but didn’t feel oversized and cumbersome when on foil. Something that you could Prone, Wing, or Downwind. One board that covers a range of conditions and disciplines, so you’re ready no matter what Mother Nature throws at you.

Outline

Pulled in nose, parallel mid-section, to pulled in tail. The narrower nose and tail help to lay the board over on harder carves without catching a rail. The parallel mid-section helps with speed, and the overall longer/narrower plan shape enables the board to be super-efficient.

Rails

Chined with hard bottom edges. The flat chined rails enable more radical carves and maneuvers, without catching a rail. The hard edges help water release more efficiently, reducing drag.

Rocker

Flatter with subtle nose kick and aggressive tail kick. The flatter rocker helps the board to get on the foil effortlessly. The aggressive tail kick helps when you are pumping up, or taking off. It also ensures you have more space between the board and wave in critical white water sections.

Bottom

Subtle rounded V into flat midsection. The subtle V at the front helps the board on touchdowns, it won’t immediately stick and bog. The flat planing surface through the middle allows the board to glide and glance over any sections you throw at it.

Deck

Concave Deck. We have a concave deck to get the rider as close to the foil as possible while maintaining the volume needed. It's a soft concave without any drastic edges so it doesn't trap water on the deck after takeoff. The deck line has been pulled right out to the edge of the rail edge, making the usable deck area as large as possible. This is especially important in these narrower designs.

Final Statement

If you're looking for an easy-to-use, yet surprisingly nimble mid-length board for Prone, Wing, Downwind, or even Foil Drive, then this is the board for you!
