THE OCEAN FAAST PRO is a race board designed for rough ocean conditions.
With a downwind focus in design the board works well upwind and crosswind also.
Great board for those who are lucky enough to live in an area where the wind blows a lot.
WA, MAUI, NEW CALEDONIA etc. Or a board to add to the quiver if you want the perfect board for downwind conditions.

About the board
General goal | theme of the board
A race board designed for rough ocean conditions. With a downwind focus in design the board works well upwind and crosswind also.
Conditions it's working best
This board will go downwind better than any other board in the FAAST range, possibly with the exception of the Unlimited.
Skill level it's best for
Novice to Pro. Just choose width accordingly.
Paddle power
SPEED: Above average.
DIRECTIONAL CONTROL: Great, especially in downwind conditions.
OVER WHITE WATER: Good.
WAVE CATCHING ABILITY: Great, easily controllable.
What you thought of when you designed it?
The board has a high volume nose area, and nose rocker to suit bumpy conditions and keep the nose from diving under. There’s a thin outline in the tail for excellent release and glide. Dugout standing area for stability and stiffness. With the fin placed to keep the board loose and easy to turn.
What it possibly compromises on then?
All other FAAST’s in the range will outperform this board in the flat water.

Design info
Outline
Fuller nose area, skinny tail. The wider high volume nose keeps the board from diving under and the skinny tail helps to release the water flow from the board.
Rails
Soft rails that harden slightly through the middle. Forgiving rails through the whole board so they don’t grab and steer the board keeping it controllable for paddle power and steering off the tail when you need to.
Rocker
Downwind style rocker. The rocker is based on ease of use downwind. Plenty of kick in the nose to keep it above water. Moderate tail rocker to keep it fitting in the bumps but not so much that it reduces glide.
Bottom
Flat-rounded.
Deck
The board is dugout which allows you to stand lower to the water and therefore be more comfortable on the board. Also, you use a shorter paddle allowing you to get more power from each stroke. The dugout design also allows us to carry through that volume into the nose area and also adds stiffness to the board.
Fins
Single. Great directional control.
Final statement
A great board for those who are lucky enough to live in an area where the wind blows a lot. WA, MAUI, NEW CALEDONIA etc. Or a board to add to the quiver if you want the perfect board for downwind conditions.
