THE SP 25 is the ultimate high-performance board for small to mid-range size surf. Ideal for waves that are more gutless and flatter, but it also works amazingly well in punchier surf. 

It’s a great board for generating quick speed and maneuvering in tight wave transitions. This is Sean Poynter’s go-to board for all conditions under 6ft.

Intermediate to Pro.

DIRECTIONAL CONTROL: Good.

OVER WHITE WATER: Better than average.

WAVE CATCHING ABILITY: Great.

WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF WHEN YOU DESIGNED IT?:

Designed as a board for Sean Poynter with his input and feedback. SP wanted a board that could be surfed radically in smaller conditions. A board you could still blow the tail out from and do some nice hacks, yet feel comfortable that you will make it to the next section when conditions are quick. 

WHAT IT POSSIBLY COMPROMISES ON THEN?:

It doesn’t surf well in the pocket, especially in large waves due to the flatter tail rocker. It prefers to project out with speed. In smaller conditions, you can force the board where you need.

Final Statement

A really good board for high performance surfing in everyday conditions. The board has so much down the line speed and drive and is able to hook under the lip amazingly well. If performance is what you're after then this could be a great option.
