The UNLIMITED FAAST PRO is Marcus' favourite board to paddle.

Originally he designed this board specifically for the M2O. He wanted a board that was going to perform in the best or worst conditions the channel could throw at it on the day. The result was mind blowing. It worked so well in epic downwind runs or just grinding through a flat ocean.

Finally an unlimited board you can be equally competitive in smoking downwind or a grind.

About the board

GENERAL GOAL/THEME OF THE BOARD

This is my favorite board to paddle. Originally I designed this board specifically for the M2O. I wanted a board that was going to perform in the best or worst conditions the channel could throw at it on the day. The result was mind blowing, It worked so well in epic downwind runs or just grinding through a flat ocean. Since James Casey has had this board in Hawaii he has used it for every unlimited race he has entered. Finally an unlimited board you can be equally competitive in smoking downwind or a grind.

CONDITIONS ITS WORKING BEST

Anything the ocean will give you.

SKILL LEVEL ITS BEST FOR

Novice to Pro. Just choose width accordingly.

Paddle power

SPEED: Above average.

DIRECTIONAL CONTROL: Above average, especially with the steering system.

OVER WHITE WATER:Great.

WAVE CATCHING ABILITY: Amazing in bumpy downwind conditions.

WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF WHEN YOU DESIGNED IT?

I was fed up with unlimited boards that only worked in epic downwind conditions. I wanted to have fun whether it was 10 or 30knots. I wanted a board that would glide effortlessly through the slower sections to make linking bumps easy and not draining.

I wanted the most responsive steering system possible. I wanted a board that would be fun and fast.

WHAT IT POSSIBLY COMPROMISES ON THEN?

Not much unless you are paddling in dead flat water such as rivers etc.

Shape details summary | Design info

Outline

Balanced shape nose to tail, very pulled in at both ends. The nose of this board slices effortlessly through choppy sections while the outline of the tail makes the board feel friction-less.

Rails

Generally soft full rail. Very soft rails at the ends of the board while slightly hardening through the middle section. No actual hard edge rail anywhere on this board.

Rocker

Fairly balanced with a flip in the nose. The tail to nose rocker is generally a smooth balanced curve except for the flip in the nose to avoid nose diving.

Bottom

Flat-rounded.

Deck

The dugout deck allows you to stand lower to the water for more stability and power.

Fins

Rudder. The fin that comes with this board can be used anywhere in the world whether it be in Perth where you will often get weed or Hawaii where you don’t and still have a massive amount of response. I tried a lot of different fins to get to this shape and it's basically the most upright foil I could find that won’t catch weed. You set up the responsiveness you prefer by choosing from 3 different settings on the T piece attached to the rudder. The steering arm can be used for natural or goofy straight out of the box. The standing position can be changed to 3 different positions using our adjustable steering lines.

Final Statement

I'm in love with this board. If you love ocean paddling and going fast then look no further. I’ve used it in messy side swell downwind, to 5-knot grinds, to epic Maliko and Perth, and I always enjoy the performance and enjoyment that this board brings.
